Snejana Ro
Visual Artist and Art Educator
Snejana is a visual artist and art educator, actively engaged in both art education and creative practice. A graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy in Arts, Design, and Crafts, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Kunst- og designdidaktikk in Norway, focusing her research on aesthetic practices and the role of art in education.
As an educator, Snejana develops innovative methods to make art accessible to all, exploring the intersection of creative processes, artistic reflection, and cultural inclusion. She works closely with children and young people, guiding them to discover their artistic expression through an interdisciplinary approach.

Leader in Promoting Art and Cultural Diversity
Beyond her academic work, Snejana is actively involved in the artistic and educational community in Norway. She leads two associations dedicated to promoting art and cultural diversity:

  • Kunst og Kultur for rumensktalende barn – An educational platform that supports Romanian-speaking children in discovering their creativity through art, connecting them to both Romanian cultural heritage and Norwegian artistic traditions. Through workshops, exhibitions, and interactive activities, children learn about renowned Norwegian artists, contemporary art, and how to use art as a form of self-expression.
  • Visuell Kunst Forening – An association dedicated to artists and art enthusiasts, fostering the exchange of ideas and intercultural collaborations. Through exhibitions, workshops, and educational projects, this platform creates opportunities for artists of diverse backgrounds to showcase their work and participate in the artistic dialogue in Norway.

Artistic Practice
As a visual artist, Snejana is primarily a painter, with her works exploring the relationship between nature and culture, the inner and outer worlds, emotion and reason. By utilizing vibrant colors, abstract forms, and expressive textures, she creates visual experiences that invite introspection and interpretation.
In addition to painting, she has extensive experience in book illustration and children’s illustrations, collaborating with writers and publishers to bring stories to life through evocative and captivating imagery. This artistic direction has enabled her to blend narrative elements with visual expression, developing a distinctive style in illustration.
Her works have been exhibited in Oslo and other cities across Norway, appreciated for their visual sensitivity and the connections they create between tradition, innovation, and artistic identity.

Art Education and Activities for Children
A vital aspect of Snejana's work is art education for children, where she combines Romanian visual traditions with Norwegian art and design, offering children a broad perspective on cultural diversity. She organizes creative workshops that encourage children to experiment with various artistic techniques, explore their visual identity, and discover the role of art in society.
Through her work, Snejana promotes diversity and inclusion in art education, facilitating an open and accessible cultural dialogue. Her goal is to inspire not only children but also the artistic community to see art as a space for meeting, exploration, and free expression.
